Genesis 3 Tutorials

I ran across some Genesis 3 tutorials on the Daz Forums and thought I would share them if anyone is looking for some help with Genesis 3!

Very Basic G3F Skin Resource

This is a extremely basic G3F skin resource, it is only meant to show where the seams are and allow the user to see the differences in the UV map from the other sets such as G2F and V4.

It is not a full texture/material, it is just a simple set of jpgs. Any basic image editor should be able to open them and modify them without a problem.

Feel free to modify and the jpg's and make your own unique set of custom skins for G3F.

Please do not redistribute the un-modified set, I have made it freely available for everyone at ShareCG and here!

This is what the basic texture set looks like applied, nothing fancy, but a good starting point.

These are the original diffuse files that are used in this render, note the big change on the arms and legs which are now entirely separate images (in V4 and Genesis 1 and 2 they were in the same image) They have also moved the ears from the torso area to the head.

G3F from Daz Studio

Daz has officially released Genesis 3 Female (yes I know its been a couple weeks since this happened) and I have not had time to play around with it and see what the new features that have been added are.

Hopefully regular work will settle down so that I can have more time to play around with the fun 3D art stuff!

Sword Poses

They had some awesome poses in the fast grab area today, but I have already used up this months budget.
So here is my attempt at a new pose for V4 holding a sword.

Test of the new Iray

I got this weeks freebie the V4 Superhero pack and I decided to test out Helena in the Domino outfit. The first render is the new Iray one (which looks awesome!) but took forever to render!

The second one is the older 3D Delight one

It was made for Poser and so had a minor issue with the ambient not working right to throw the colors in the piping. It was an easy fix though.
