Pre-Render vs Post Render

So one of the reasons that Daz Studio is awesome is that it shows the 3D figures at a lower resolution so that it doesn't overly tax your system while you are setting up a scene. The results after you add in lighting and run it through a render cycle can be amazingly different!

Here is a n example of it:


Notice the general lack of shadows and the fact that the room doesn't look very good?
Now what it looks like after it has been rendered with the Daz Studio standard reality 3D render engine


Not only are the shadows showing up, there background color and even the character herself look different.
